2023 Jog-a-Thon / Maze-a-Thon

“With all of my experience in the public school system, I have been so impressed with the quality of education that the students at Sacred Heart Catholic School receive. Having smaller class sizes, a close knit staff, and a faith-based curriculum that follows the standards, really gives our SHCS children an academic, social, and emotional edge that public schools just can’t offer, and we are the only faith-based elementary school in the Valley. We invite you to see for yourself by viewing our social media sites and to meet us by visiting our Facebook page and checking out the virtual tours that are posted regularly. Welcome!”

2023 JOG-A-THON FUN FACTS

This event is a 45-year old school tradition promoting fitness and community support of our school.  Students gather pledges for five weeks before the event takes place.  This year, our 46th Annual Jog A Thon will be at Spiegelberg Stadium on November 9th from 8:30am – Noon.  Students walk/jog/run around the track for 3.5 hours.

Students who run 40 laps/10 miles will be awarded into the RAVE Orthodontics 10-Mile Club.  They receive a dri-fit t-shirt and Dr. Ravassipour donates $10 to the school for each student in the club.  Our fundraising goal is $35,000 this year.  Jog A Thon pledges support teachers, classrooms, and keep tuition costs down.

– The student distance record is 22.5 miles which was set in 2014 by Emma Schmerbach.

– The most money raised by a single student was $9,382.50 in 2019 by Channing Driscoll.
